Leaving New Bamboo

It’s with a sad heart that I announce to the world that I will be departing from New Bamboo after Christmas. I’ve promised the guys that I’d do one last tour of duty before I go and turn the lights off before I leave.

Working at New Bamboo and watching it grow into such a successful company has been a complete pleasure to behold. I can honestly say that everyone there has been a joy to work with.

I’m not sure what I’ll be doing come next year and I’m completely open to suggestions (though I suck at pole dancing). Highlights of my CV/resume are:

  • Approx. 3 years of commercial Ruby on Rails experience
  • 10 years commercial experience developing internet applications utilising Java, Perl and even TCL
  • Previously a technical architect developing mission critical systems (that’s real mission critical systems where people could either die or millions of pounds lost)
  • Experience running a business
